This article analyzes the interrelationship between national-spiritual and modern values and their role in the development of society. The trends of harmonization with modern values, formed in the process of globalization, while preserving national traditions, customs, spiritual heritage, and national identity, are highlighted. Also, the results of research conducted on a global scale are highlighted on the example of several countries.

It analyzes the essence of the concept of gender, the influence of social aspects of women’s and men’s roles, and their educational significance. The author reveals the role of the family institution in society, its significance in the system of spiritual and moral values. From a pedagogical point of view, gender equality, the harmony of national traditions and spiritual heritage are defined as the main criteria for forming a value-based attitude towards the family in students.
