In recent years in Uzbekistan significant work has been carried out to ensure the rights and interests of women, to strengthen the institution of the family in all aspects. But despite this, there are cases of gender discrimination against women in the society. It is observed that these cases are committed in the family, at the workplace, on the street, and in educational institutions. In addition, there are insufficient opportunities to collect and comprehensively analyze the statistical data that describes the state of violence, the management of the system for early detection and prevention of harassment and violence against women of different ages, legal support, in this field, the rules of interaction of the subjects of the prevention system and the presence of shortcomings in the technologies, issues related to the effectiveness of a comprehensive approach to this issues are the problems that await the solution. Among them, cases of violence committed in the workplace and educational institution are
less researched, and in this regard, the problem is hidden even among women. A sociological survey was conducted in order to study the opinion of women on this problem, to determine the causes and factors of harassment and violence in work teams and educational institutions. The article provides an analysis of the results of the sociological research. At the same time, the article focuses on the work carried out to support women in our country, to prevent the cases of gender discrimination and the concept of harassment, which is one of its types, and offers suggestions and recommendations for preventing oppression and violence against women.
