Sociological approaches and their interpretation in researching the problems of social gerontology
Abstract
This article reveals the main sociological theories of elderly and aging processes, their main scientific ideas and foundations in the study of gerontological problems. In addition, based on a scientific approach, the advantages and disadvantages of these sociological views are analyzed, changes in their approaches are justified in terms of the frequency, and the need to create an interdisciplinary unified methodology for empirical research based on these theories is indicated.
